Altona Photo Report

at Aug 7, 2007 9:05am

Altona’s Moto Park X was host to the second round of the Manitoba Motocross Associations Fall Provincial Championship Series.  When it comes to track prep and all around organization of an event the volunteers at Moto Park X took a cue from Emeril Lagasse and “kicked it up a notch!”

When it comes to Pro Class racing, fans of the MMA are in for a treat this fall with championship battles that are likely to go to the wire in both classes.  Nick Dunn came out on top of both 125 Pro motos in Altona aboard his gregscustom.com Suzuki.  Westside Honda’s Adam Pfeiffer was second overall on the day by virtue of his second place finish in moto two ahead of another gregscustom.com rider Aaron Pfrimmer.

Damien Beaudoin took a moto win and finished second overall in the 250 Beginner class with 3-1 moto scores.  Chris Raffard with a 1-2 day took the overall.

Dyllan Lischynski with 1-3 rides secured the overall in the GP Junior class.  Braden Jonsson and Lindsay Masse round out the podium.

Waiting for Dad?  Randy Mac Klassen throws a look back at his father Randall in 250 Junior class action.  They made the podium a family affair taking steps two and three respectively.

Ryan Kokorudz took both motos and the overall in the 50cc 4-6 class.  Ryley Paterson, Hunter Sexton, Jordan Siemens and Tyler Groening filled the top five.

Josh Pfrimmer added to his extensive trophy collection, taking the overalls in both the 85cc 12-16 and Supermini classes.  Jeremy Breemersch also grabbed a pair of podiums in these classes with a second and third overall.

Rachel Regier took her first overall of the season in the Little Ladies class, winning both motos in the process.

Stefan Thacker made a podium appearance at Moto Park X, taking second overall in the 65cc B class.  Brendan Kokorudz took both motos and the overall, while Zack Simpson grabbed the final podium spot.

One Hundred and Thirty Seven, no that’s not his CMRC race number but the number of points Stuart Brincheski accumulated in Altona.  Brincheski took the overalls in both the 125 Junior and Youth B classes as well as finishing third overall in the 85cc 12-16 class.

Moto Park X track designer Mike Harms showed the 250 Pro and Vet Master classes the fast lines around his current rendition of the track.  Harms piloted his Winnipeg Sport & Leisure Honda to the overalls in both classes.  Pfeiffer and Dunn filled the 250 Pro top trio, while Kim Houde and Renold Sawatsky gave chase to the Vet Master podium.

The Intermediate classes belonged to Colin Cyr in Altona, taking all four motos.  Devon Ward kept the title chases tight with second overall finishes in both classes.

Nick Kiewning took the overall in the 50cc 7-8 class after a couple of epic battles with D.J. Burmey.  Bryce Sexton stood on the third step of the box.

Ami Houde with a 2-1 ride went home with the overall in the Ladies class ahead of Bev Bryce-Leger and Carmen Regier.

Ty Shemko continued his season long dominance in the 65cc PeeWee class.  Ryan Linto and Donald Fossay joined Shemko on the podium.

Speaking of domination, Rio Stoesz continues to take it to the 85cc 7-11 class on a weekly basis.  Shemko and Kayl Brown round out the top three.

Jamie Kennedy put in a 3-3 day in the Youth class for second overall.  Kennedy finished between his gregscustom.com teammates Dunn and Aaron Pfrimmer.

Excuse me are you feeling blue?  It appears a change of colours agrees with Dustin Konzelman who piloted his new YZ250F to his first podium appearance of the season in the 125 Beginner class.  Konzelman finished second overall behind Marcus Giesbrecht and ahead of Marcus Wiebe.

See you at the races...
